Steven Ciezki

Biography

Steven Ciezki is an American glass artist, author, and educator based in Phoenix, Arizona. He earned his BFA in Glass from Illinois State University and has built a multifaceted career that crosses traditional studio practice, teaching, publishing, and international residencies — bringing a deep technical mastery to his work as well as conceptual depth rooted in perceptual and rhythmic exploration.

 

He has been a resident artist at the Corning Museum of Glass, received the prestigious Art Group Creative Fellowship at Canberra Glassworks in Australia, and lectured/demonstrated in studios and universities in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Australia. 

 

Ciezki also authored Life on the Rails: Intermediate Glassblowing Techniques, a well-regarded resource in the glass community that reflects his commitment to technique and craft.
